This residence, located on a corner plot at the edge of Shikarbadi’s residential area, enjoys sweeping panoramic views to the south. To fully embrace the surroundings, we’ve introduced multi-leveled terraces, with the building receding in places to create open volumes for experiencing the sun, rain, and atmosphere. South-facing terraces are shaded by well-designed overhangs that control sunlight. Carefully placed openings ensure cross-ventilation and provide panoramic views from every window. The railing features a series of repetitive bars, casting synchronized shadow patterns across the space. It’s a modern home, and the choice of bright yellow for the overhangs brings a touch of Rajasthan’s warmth and vibrancy, beautifully complementing the exposed stone masonry and highlighting the horizontal planes. Amaltas trees line the periphery, adding to this vivid color palette; when in full yellow bloom, they harmonize with the architectural accents, enhancing the natural connection to Rajasthan’s native flora.
